@MSHPAlerts Good luck on your efforts and I appreciate the link. Your link doesn’t show the specific AMBER Alert. It only shows general ‘what should you do with this information’ page. If you look at some of the comments, it’s happening to a lot of people.

@therobdale@ALEAprotects@AMBERAlert Training and Education! Train those using the system and educate those receiving messages. There are things we can do as a group and also individual training. Both are needed. There is movement toward certification for those using alerting. I am 150% for official certification.
Here is an article I authored about facing down the fear that comes with alerting.
Fear is real. I have hovered above the go button many times. Thankfully I have found the keys to move past fear. The right training is the key.

Missing persons and Alerting go hand in hand. Unfortunately, there are still many misunderstandings on what alerting is. My goal is to help organizations and individuals better understand what each of these are and how they can effectively work together.

@therobdale@ALEAprotects@AMBERAlert Hey Rob... You got me engaged. As the AMBER Alert guy, I definitely have a few thoughts. As a general rule, statewide alerting isn't ideal. There are times in an investigation where it is necessary and prudent to do so. Also, agree that smart links are key!
