@tfwrail I'm guessing no trolley service either, then? Only it's a three-hour train running from 5-8pm and I got first class so that I could eat. I have epilepsy and need regular meals.

@DB494949 @tfwrail Yup, no first class carriage on this train - plus it's now making extra stops, which is presumably why it's travelling like it's towing a caravan

Fun update, @tfwrail. This train to Crewe, which I was told to catch by station staff, is due to arrive in Crewe after the one to Newport has left. So I'm being repeatedly stranded further and further south.

...another on to Wilmslow. I waited there in subzero temperatures for an hour and am now on a train to Crewe, where I will have an estimated three minutes to catch the train to Newport. Remarkable. Do you think I'll get there?
