Steph Curry on how outspoken he is with the front office when it comes to highlighting what the team needs:
“It’s a great question because it’s not a one-situation approach. In terms of every situation, it requires a little something different from all of us, including me. And so, if you look at the last 18 years, realistically, the last decade that we’ve been doing this, I’ve tried to show up in a meaningful way, using my voice to let the front office know what my feelings are. Let our, you know, me and Steve talk about our approach to every season. The leadership on the team, we have our conversations as players to manage the locker room and make sure we have all the right habits and the standards of how we do things. And now, I know there’s a lot of spotlight on what does this team need, and do I demand that certain moves be made? Like, everybody has a certain job to do and a value that they bring, and my voice is heard. I don’t make unreasonable demands, but I make it known that I want to win. And within things in our control, I expect that, and I know the front office understands that as well. So, that’s part of the Warrior kind of identity and how I show up. And it, you know, with the success that we’ve had, there’s always going to be a microscope over us. And for me like, I do want to end this thing the right way and be competitive and figure out what that looks like. And that’s the mission right now.”

Steph Curry on how he feels about Klay Thompson being in Miami and how much he misses him:
“I miss that dude every day. But that’s part of the NBA, and it’s like one of those situations. Once he left, was that three years ago now? Yeah. You know everything’s not going to be the same because we all grew up together. Me and Draymond, we grew up as adults. We grew up as competitors, as champions, and at the end of the day, when it is all said and done, I can’t wait for us to break bread, have a glass of bourbon, and reminisce on all the things that we were able to accomplish. I’m happy for him in Miami. I know it’s, he wants to be in a situation where he can be impactful, have a championship-contending kind of energy going into the season. That’s, I think, what they have. So, for him, he deserves an opportunity to play and impact a winning team. I wish it was still with us, but that’s part of the nature of how things evolve in the league, and nobody’s going to hold that cloud over any of our heads because what we accomplished was so great that we’ll talk about it forever.”
