If you are going up I-65, the Jim Beam distillery is not far off the interstate and I highly recommend a visit. The tour is cool, and the tasting room is delicious. There are maybe 3 or 4 that are all right there within several miles of each other. Maker's Mark is another good stop.

@groundhopper_fc You should visit a Spec's. It is like a supermarket, but for booze. Spec's #1, the original, is in Houston near downtown. It was a neat place to see the variety.
