The NFL is tampering with its most valuable asset — scarcity. We love football *because* it’s once or twice each week. It makes every game special. No one wants 7 games in 9 nights. Then it becomes just like every other sport.
Breaking news: President Trump said he is directing all federal agencies to stop working with Anthropic, blasting the AI company as a risk to national security after a tumultuous week of negotiations between the start-up and the Pentagon. https://t.co/dKZb50HsQS
Doubt this holds but there is hardly a thread of small government representation left in the executive or the legislature... looking more and more like I was completely wrong about the right shifting libertarian with our generation and beyond
This week, Anthropic delivered a master class in arrogance and betrayal as well as a textbook case of how not to do business with the United States Government or the Pentagon.
Our position has never wavered and will never waver: the Department of War must have full, unrestricted access to Anthropic’s models for every LAWFUL purpose in defense of the Republic.
Instead, @AnthropicAI and its CEO @DarioAmodei, have chosen duplicity. Cloaked in the sanctimonious rhetoric of “effective altruism,” they have attempted to strong-arm the United States military into submission - a cowardly act of corporate virtue-signaling that places Silicon Valley ideology above American lives.
The Terms of Service of Anthropic’s defective altruism will never outweigh the safety, the readiness, or the lives of American troops on the battlefield.
Their true objective is unmistakable: to seize veto power over the operational decisions of the United States military. That is unacceptable.
As President Trump stated on Truth Social, the Commander-in-Chief and the American people alone will determine the destiny of our armed forces, not unelected tech executives.
Anthropic’s stance is fundamentally incompatible with American principles. Their relationship with the United States Armed Forces and the Federal Government has therefore been permanently altered.
In conjunction with the President's directive for the Federal Government to cease all use of Anthropic's technology, I am directing the Department of War to designate Anthropic a Supply-Chain Risk to National Security. Effective immediately, no contractor, supplier, or partner that does business with the United States military may conduct any commercial activity with Anthropic. Anthropic will continue to provide the Department of War its services for a period of no more than six months to allow for a seamless transition to a better and more patriotic service.
America’s warfighters will never be held hostage by the ideological whims of Big Tech. This decision is final.
@BuckatLarge1 Man I am the biggest Schwartz fan there is, I think we totally fumbled this one, I just agreed that Tarver would be a preferred successor
Really disappointing he couldn’t put differences aside and stay for the #Browns new era
Best guess for DC is an internal hire like LB coach Jason Tarver or Safeties coach Ephraim Banda
Explanation below 👇🏼
Now people slandering the man who directed the NFL's best defense of our lifetime over the last three years on our behalf, when this type of disrespect is why guys who have worked their lives to become head coaches take their names out of the hat when it's the Cleveland Browns
With hopes of keeping the system together for their talented group, the #Browns may look to a couple of assistants on the staff of Jim Schwartz disciple Matt Burke — Dino Vasso and Cory Undlin.
Huge fumble, and really dude "I didn't gameplan to chip Jim Schwartz"
Usually get excited about the presser and disappointed by the performance, hopefully the reverse this time because I don't think Monken sounds like he knows ball
#Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz is walking away, per The Insiders.
The team tried to bring him back in the fold, but it wasn’t to be. One of the top coordinators is now out, as Cleveland will need to fill that important role for Todd Monken’s staff.
@gatordadsteve@racjac24 That's what I thought then I had kids lol so the volatility's a lot harder to stomach and the bankroll can't just sit and compound... but one day
@thebinginengine 🫡 much appreciated. That's what some people don't really understand. That's a really good number, if you get it, kudos man. People are not out in the streets cranking out 70% lol
@racjac24 Part of the game for sure... been working on fully automated picks for like 10 years, my eternal nerd project, ~55-56% ATS, and I'm always going into the season like... is this the year we match racjac lol
