Why are so many Generation X grandparents surprisingly hands off? I expected them to bring that independent fun energy into grandparenting. Instead it is often distant. A gift now and then but little consistent time attention or affection. The grandchildren deserve more than that. Interesting how generational patterns play out.
We live in a world where someone wants to murder a kind and jovial elderly lady, then people come online to say why that’s great.
Just as I think I’m used to the level of evil in the world, it finds a way to outdo itself.
