@LentMadness Re: Jerome's translation, I thought that the Vulgate was the Latin translation? That the Bible was in Greek and Aramaic and the Vulgate translated it for the Roman world?
@midwestmulcahy It's comfortable. I can find worship that feeds my soul and I can find conversation in which I don't need to be on the defensive all the time.

@jmccyoung @markrsmith @LentMadness I know the committe was working on the voting system... I voted on Chrome and it worked just fine. Maybe that's worth a try?
@ByCoupletMade I mean, the Halloween bit might be morbid fascination. But drive through ashes? Sure, engaging with mortality. Does that mean we need to make other parts of liturgy exportable?
@amycontemplates I work as an EMT. I put up with similar things. But sometimes I worry that when I get home, I've run out of the patience and attention that I show at work. Lately I've worried about what kind of impact that has had at home over the past two years and change.
@zqmatthews@EachStarAWorld@robbie_couch I just finished reading/listening to the LOTR trilogy, A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway (which I don't recommend), and Being Mortal by Atul Gawande (which is really good, but it's nonfiction about healthcare, elder care, and hospice, so...)
