If you hurt an introvert, they don't revenge, they just slowly drift away. Seen texts, unanswered calls, dropped plans. They don't want no conflict. No stress. No headaches. They just want peace. And they absolutely have no intention of hurting you. They just disappear. Quietly.
This Sunday, December 1st at 12:00 PM EST, I will be hosting reading sprints on my channel for a few hours. You don't have to read, you can be productive too or do notthing. We just hang out, do sprints and then chat. @books_and_nerd_@ReadalongQueens

We hear of people being ‘triggered’.
Triggered does not mean stressed or reactive or upset.
In victims of narcissists/psychopaths, triggered means being acutely reminded of the feelings, pain & inescapability of long-term torture.
If someone says they’re triggered, be kind.
It’s both parties are the same until:
You lose your health insurance
All our food is contaminated
The dept of education is dismantled
There’s a national abortion ban
Tariffs make everything cost 10x as much
There’s no federal response to natural disasters
"BOOKS ARE NOT POLITICAL." Books are education of empathy which we learn intrinsically other walks of life where we can feel just as intensely as the character whose experiences trigger growth/transformation. Politics are situational autonomy paired with that emotional evolution.
“The forest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood he was one of them.”
Trump has run for president against three people:
Hillary Clinton
Joseph R. Biden
Kamala Harris
America has chosen him two out of three times.
Guess the one time it didn’t.
Don’t ever tell me gender and race don’t matter.
The misogyny is strong, but we also need to talk about the successful campaign to turn the Black community against Kamala. Misinformation has been following her since 2019. I saw so many Black ppl fall for it. It only got significant pushback/correction in the last few months.
No matter who wins, the result is going to be heartrending to roughly half the country. I feel like I want to put my arms around millions of people and tell them it’s going to be OK.
I voted for Kamala.
I’ve heard people say they’re voting for Trump because they want Kennedy to do his thing with food and health. I like a lot of what Bobby stands for on those things, much of which was part of my own campaign. But Bobby would be working for Donald Trump. Trump would be about a lot more things than food and health.
I’ve heard people say they’re not voting for Kamala because of Gaza. I understand that, but I think the people of Gaza are in a lot more danger under a Trump administration.
I’ve heard people say they don’t want to vote for Kamala because of how that campaign went down. Every cell in my body understands that. But we have to take on the biggest issue first, and that’s saving our country from a man for whom the basic rules and traditions of American democracy mean nothing. There‘s some chip missing there when it comes to human decency and ethics. There are things he says that were he to actually do them, we would no longer be functioning as even the shred of a free society.
My vote does not matter less because it is a vote of protest. I protest authoritarianism. I protest the prospect of a dictatorship. I protest the bigotry and racism of someone who views other people with such disdain.
That’s just where my heart is. Nobody needs to comment that they are “disappointed” in me, because I am disappointed in anyone who thinks I should vote my heart less than they should vote theirs. To me, this is not a happy election. I have seen too much for that. But it is a critically important election nonetheless. Each of us needs to do our best, particularly in light of what state we’re in and what difference our vote can realistically make there.
No matter who wins, the great work will begin on the other side of this election. I don’t know what part I will play, but I will do whatever I can to further the ideal that ultimately love will win.
Being vulnerable to gaslighting because of past trauma is not being "stupid." Intelligence can actually make us MORE vulnerable to gaslighting, because smart people see nuance-- & abusers cheerfully weaponize our intellectual sensitivity & openness.
You are not "stupid."
