Here at Michigan Storm Chasers, we don’t just publish fancy forecast graphics, or chase after the bad storms.

Our motto is “We have you covered from beginning to end”

It starts at the first forecast, we continue it with our live coverage and rapid post updates during the event, and we end it as the storm leaves the area. Right?

Wrong. The “end” for us here at MSC doesn’t stop after the threat of inclement weather passes.. it goes deeper, much deeper.

We feel called to do more. We want to help people, by any means necessary.

Our focus is on Michigan. Michigan weather, Michigan needs. Michigan is our home. But we are all too familiar with the scenes of destruction that are surfacing from the ice storm that occurred over the weekend down in the Deep South. We had our very own ice storm that occurred in northern Michigan last year. It is hard to ignore.

Just like we deployed a team for disaster relief efforts for northern Michigan residents, we want to help our fellow Americans to our south.

We don’t care that it isn’t Michigan. These are people being affected.

So this morning, we’re asking for your help. We have a platform with a combined following of over 1 million people across 2 states, we wouldn’t feel right sitting idle with such a large reach.

This morning, we are working on and planning to deploy a team to the affected areas across the Deep South / Tennessee Valley region. Exact area will be determined based on information we receive from local officials in the area(s)

Here’s where we need your help.

We have created an Amazon Wish List full of non perishables, food, drinks, snacks, diapers, formulas, gloves, chargers.. and more.

If you can, purchase a couple of items off the list. Some stuff is cheap, some stuff is expensive, but everything is needed. If you can’t afford it, we get it. Times are tough. You can still help us by hitting the like button on this post, as well as sharing it. Interacting with any post on Facebook will help push it into more people’s feed, thus it helps us increase our reach with this post.

Once purchased, all items will be delivered to our office space in Southwest Michigan. We will then unbox everything, sort through it, load it up, and head south.
