This anime is the show everyone who is sick of Hollywood slop has been asking for and too few know exists or won't watch it because it's anime.
You NEED to watch this show.
This moment reminds me a scene from C.S. Lewis's "The Screwtape Letters" where Screwtape is trying to make his junior tempter nephew Wormwood understand that the true way to stop someone from being good is to keep them in a perpetual state of self-examination and hesitancy.
"The great thing is to prevent his doing anything. As long as he does not convert it into action, it does not matter how much he thinks about this new repentance. Let the little brute wallow in it. Let him, if he has any bent that way, write a book about it; that is often an excellent way of sterilising the seeds which the Enemy plants in a human soul. Let him do anything but act.”
I'm actually impressed that Disney/Marvel of all people actually managed to create a scene that isn't shallow as a gym floor shower for starters, but also that it encouraged actual moral action without over-analyzing motives, and even pushed away the consideration of identity, which modern "entertainment" is filthy with. An actually solid scene from a place I had no hope of seeing a solid scene from.
The brutal truth is that Shane Gillis is the best thing that ever happened to habitually online nags because it gave them the excuse to self-victimize and reaffirm their "strong independent woman" cred.
I just want to say I am completely and totally shocked acquiring one of the most cherished IPs in all the English language, only to then hand it to longhouse hack so she could $250 million to purposefully desecrate it, didn't work out.
If these women don't want to be looked at, why are they recording themselves in a bra and spandex booty shorts and uploading it to the internet to be viewed by millions of people?
Jadis (The White Witch) is blowing up The Eagle & Child. This is the pub where Lewis, Tolkien and The Inklings, an all-male literary group, famously met. Greta Gerwig and @Netflix are quite possibly "blowing up the patriarchy" here, and completely up-ending the world of Narnia here--and the legacy of the stories.
I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore. Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me.
The “joke” was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is. So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11 takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link. My caption: “I’m literally shaking.”
Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, “Does this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?” I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow. Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists.

Debra Wilson admitted that using her face for Callisto in "Wolverine" was a mistake
But the decision is always up to the developers:
"That choice is made by the game designers, not me. I like games where my face is not used."
Debra herself believes that if the character is you, it only hinders the immersion into the role.
