Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met in 2011 while filming Season 2 in Iceland, playing on-screen enemies-turned-lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte.

Victoria Leigh Soto, 27, was a first-grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. On December 14, 2012, a gunman entered the school and began shooting staff and students.

When he reached her classroom, Soto had already hidden her students in a closet. She told him the children were in the gym.

Some students, too afraid to stay hidden, ran from their hiding place. Soto threw herself between them and the gunfire.

She was killed protecting her class. In 2013, she was posthumously awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal. 🕊️

In 1997, 10-day-old Delimar Vera was reported killed in a house fire in Philadelphia. Her mother, Luz Cuevas, buried an empty casket and mourned for years.

A biopsy during surgery revealed the truth. She had salivary gland cancer, a disease so rare most people have never heard of it.

She underwent a maxillectomy, lost four teeth and part of her palate, then 30 days of radiation. The cancer came back a year later. 💔
