It turns out, Puerto Rican Parrots (#iguacas) have dialects. Populations in different parts of the island have different calls. Wild parrots and captive parrots also produce different calls. How did this happen? Read all about it in our new publication:

Captive #iguacas have a lot to learn before they can be released into the wild, including how to forage on wild plants. Today we provided them with Cupey tree branches (Clusia rosea). The parrots love munching on all parts of the cupey tree including the leaves, buds, and fruits.
