The best part of the Gospel, the reason it’s referred to as “the good news” is because it says “there is NOTHING you can do to earn your salvation, but don’t worry I earned it for you. Just accept it and love me.”
That’s such good news.
Habits That Hold You Up
In moments of crisis, you don’t rise to the occasion, you fall to the level of your preparation.
That’s why consistent small habits matter so much. They are the “muscle memory” of your character. When adversity strikes, you’ll lean on what’s already been rehearsed.
Here are five daily habits that build that foundation:
•Morning mindset: Win the morning before the world wakes up. Pray, plan, and prepare your heart.
•Focused discipline: Do one hard thing every day on purpose. A workout, a conversation, a challenge you’ve avoided.
•Reflection rhythm: End the day by asking, “What did I learn today? What can I do better tomorrow?”
•Rest + Renewal: Rest isn’t weakness, it’s readiness. Even warriors need recovery.
•Encourage someone: A resilient life gives strength to others, not just to self.
Small habits done well are how you build spiritual, emotional, and mental endurance that lasts.
Motivation comes and goes. Consistency is what keeps you standing. Here’s a hard truth: some days you won’t feel like getting up, leading, working out, or praying. That’s okay. Feelings are real, but they’re not reliable.
Discipline doesn’t depend on mood, it depends on mission.
When emotion fades, consistency carries you.
I used to tell my players, “We don’t train for when it’s easy. We train for when it’s not.”
The same goes for life.
Resilient leaders don’t rely on adrenaline; they rely on alignment.
Greatness begins with the small things. When you build consistency in the quiet, confidence shows up in the storm.
So today, practice the art of steady steps.
Show up.
Keep your word.
Win the small things.
That’s how resilient people are built…one faithful habit at a time.
Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss to go to a school that has a chance to win championships... giving up on a team that can.... *checks notes* win the championship.
1) Kiffin is a total clown
2) Don't know how you can't be rooting for Ole Miss to win it all at this point
Apropos of nothin other than a recent focus on the dogs of Oxford, I thought I would throw a shoutout to our Labs -- Gus and Rizzo. They actually live with us. Gus is 10. Rizzie is 8.
Lot of differing takes out there on Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for LSU, but one that is false is that he was getting a big raise to go to LSU. Ole Miss was prepared to pay him just as much and was also going to put together a similar financial package to help build a roster.
Kiffin supposedly has given offensive coaches an ultimatum: come with me today or there won’t be a spot for you. The injury he’s inflicting on @OleMissFB has gone from selfishly incidental to intentional.
The danger is this: he’s delayed his decision so long that putting together another staff is going to be much more difficult than it needed to be. If assistants leave today, could it increase the chances of player defections pre-playoffs? Maybe. I’ve been less worried about that with Kiffin, himself, but some of these young guys will be loyal to their position coaches.
He’s going to play victim along the way and his PR firm (ESPN) will help, but this guy is every bit the petulant brat he was 20 years ago. And no, this is not @KeithCarterOM’s fault. Kiffin feels so damn entitled that he thought he could quit, sign on with our conference rival and then continuing dictating the operation of @OleMissFB for the next month plus.
The guy, fully knowing he was leaving, was tweeting about Ole Miss in the SEC Championship yesterday through his dog. He cares about one thing. Himself. It’s time to rally around the team and the university.
This begs the question … why does LSU want Lane after all of this nonsense? He has completely destroyed his reputation. If I’m LSU, I’m turned off by this spectacle.
Let’s now focus on promoting this special group of guys @OleMissFB before they make a playoff run, since the attention hasn’t been on them for weeks now.
I’m proud of this team, and they’re going to need us all to show up for them in December.
We’ll be more than okay. 👍🔴🔵
One goal - Win the 🥚 Bowl. Turn off social media, enjoy holidays and go win the darn game. If y’all can be there for this historic season we’re having, please show up on Friday. These @OleMissFB players deserve our support. Go Rebs!
