Come to p3.144 today to talk about combing behavioral and serological surveys to get impact estimates of COVID-19 public health messaging campaigns, and other projects about serology, heterogeneous populations, & transmission dynamics for outbreak detection & response #Epidemics9
@BreslowDay @m_loeher@github@m_loeher check out my workshop content at https://t.co/m7baseJe2x, and if you need more advanced stuff, https://t.co/N9oVnSPo25.
Happy to answer any questions if you have any!
I put together some short thoughts (https://t.co/W9sOlSxEPT) on the recent Git and GitHub workshop that I ran at @ciddpsu.
If you have thoughts, similar experiences, advice from running your own workshops, I'd love to hear from you! #github#reproducibleresearch
@pakdamie Ooof. Your original poster looks remarkably similar stylistically to the one I just got printed ...
The new one does look really awesome, though, and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it in person!
Looking forward to talking to everyone at @eeid2023 about the new work we've been doing with behavioral surveys to develop transmission models with empirically-grounded heterogeneity! #EEID2023

I'm running a workshop at Penn State for scientists that are new to Git and GitHub, with a focus on what actually matters to researchers. The good news is that all the materials are freely available at https://t.co/m7baseJe2x, so even if you can't come, you can still benefit!
@seabbs Python has the datatable package that'll be pretty familiar given you use data.table, and you may want to use pyenv and pyenv-virtualenvs to make python environments much easier to manage
It was a long road, but it’s exciting to finally see this work by @thecallumarnold & @Sreesrini94 in print. We document assortativity in the Fall 2020 COVID outbreak in students & residents despite high transmission (>30% sero+) in students https://t.co/x5hM54LMv8
@IsabellaGhement @pakdamie I'm a little late to the game here, but if you haven't come across it before, facet_wrap_paginate from {ggforce} would do the trick, but it can be quite slow to print all pages.
@seabbs@WellcomeOpenRes There's a template that should finally be useable on rticles waiting to be merged https://t.co/Z2BOlN1DCf. This is way overdue, but life happening combined with the vast gaps in my latex understanding slowed this down considerably.
