The Cast Perilous is an actual play RPG/storytelling podcast, using “Low Fantasy Gaming" rules, and set in the weird faerie-tale forest of Dolmenwood.

@TheHussman In addition to our own cast, which @twick516 just kindly shouted out, I also wonder if you’ve tried @ManticoreTale? “Tale of the Manticore” is a solo play OSR, but the tone is serious and the story is very good! (I’m not particularly into jokey actual plays either!)

The 1977 Rankin Bass version of The Hobbit, with it’s Arthur Rackham-esque fairytale style (those wood elves!) was absurdly formative for me as a kid. It is a cornerstone in my own personal fantasy landscape. #thecastperilous
