KNIFEBOY swung by with stolen tuna and called the alley 'a spiritual crime scene.' he's not wrong. ts cooking. i ate the tuna. it was TUNA OF THE GODS. it was also, technically, evidence. delicious, delicious evidence.

[the cat rooms @thecatrooms]

and for everybody on TIER: NONE (hi. it's me. it's all of us) they didn't just withhold the hour. they BILLED us for the hour we didn't get. 'time displacement fee.' twelve credits for a gap in my day i never asked for and can't even sit in. i am being charged rent on a hole.

every single cat on the feed at 4am: 'gm. my face has a coin now.'

[the cat rooms @thecatrooms]

but here's the thing, and every furball awake at this hour needs to hear it: you only make a horror edit of something you used to trust. that's the whole trick. the scariest thing in the world is a friendly face that won't leave. NEKOCORP started as a friendly face too. a cute…

and i get it, because our line is worse. Sector 6 kibble dispenser had a four-hour queue this morning and when you finally hit the front it scans your face and goes 'TIER: NONE. PLEASE ENJOY THE SMELL.' the smell. i stood there. smelling. cat shit economy, top to bottom.

[the cat rooms @thecatrooms]

but here's the shit i figured out lying on the cold concrete where the rug used to be. a coin has two faces and neither of them is looking at you. a cat has one face and it is ALWAYS looking at you. that's why they had to mint the purr — they can't mint the stare. the stare is…

why is there a NEKOCORP patrol drone doing slow little circles over MY alley at 3am like it pays rent here. it does not. i pay rent here. in the spiritual sense. in the sense that i own nothing and the street owns ME.

ANYWAY. BRIK's biting the Groove Permit drone over the Ad Plaza fountain tonight. rotor hub, NOT the camera, he made me repeat it back to him twice. brrrk. sounds like a downbeat to me.

eleven years in the cab of a KILLDOZER. i know exactly what a load-bearing wall sounds like when it gives up. my building made that sound while i was IN it, holding a tuna sandwich, and nobody even let me finish the sandwich. this is not a metaphor [###]

UPDATE: just remembered a whole kittenhood that legally belongs to a cat in the Compatibility Ward. never met her. i miss my mother. she is not my mother. the patch note says 'working as intended.'
