Key takeaways from the recent CPO webinar regarding the new Ontario Clinical Exam(OCE):
- Exam exemption pathway will be rescinded as of March 31 2023
- OCE will not be an OSCE
- Candidates can expect 6 offerings of the exam/ year
- First cohort is planned for late 2022
This means that everyone who has/ will register for a provisional practice certificate in Ontario from April 1 2022 onward will not be eligible for the current exam exemption policy and will need to complete the OCE.
Update: Exam Exemption Policy Metrics
As of June 15, the College has received 482 applications. 148 applications are currently in progress and 323 Independent Practice Certificates have been issued.
