Scottish FA KMI Panel, 2025-26 season summary
I've scraped every KMI panel report the Scottish FA has published for 2025-26, all 39 PDFs, 354 individual incidents from August through May, and tallied which clubs the panel ruled for and against. Sick of seeing stats that are basically made up. These are the facts.
This is based entirely on the SFA's own published verdicts and is entirely in the public domain. Checks welcome
Reading the table:
Rangers are the only one of the three with a positive net-correct balance. Upheld on-field calls in their matches went their way more often than against.
Celtic sit at -8. Most upheld decisions in their games went against them.
Hearts are essentially neutral.
On errors specifically (where the panel ruled the ref got it wrong), all three clubs net BENEFIT — Rangers +4, Celtic +2, Hearts +1.
Season-wide: 92.7% of on-field decisions ruled correct by the panel, 7.3% ruled errors.
Definitions:
"Correct FOR" = on-field call went the club's way AND panel agreed
"Correct AGAINST" = call went against the club AND panel agreed
"Errors FOR" = panel found a wrongful call that hurt the club
"Errors AGAINST" = panel found a wrongful call that helped the club

The SFA’s KMI panel have deemed the penalty awarded for Sam Nicholson’s “handball” to be incorrect.
Had that match ended in a draw, Hearts would have won the league.
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: the worst VAR decision in history.
Hearts players y left the bench and casually strolled on to the park.
Firstly why would they do that if the game wasn’t over ?
Secondly, thought they were fearing for their safety?
😂😂
@FootballRamble Hi Luke, as per the official referee audio the game was called and called after 8 mins had been played.
Will love to see you boys run this statement back as quickly as you put it out. 👍🏼
@ClydeSSB The argument that the world sports media agree with it being unjust on hearts is because they only started paying attention on the Wednesday night. If they’d watched for a few weeks before they would see the unjust decisions against celtic. Utter drivel, again.
In the last 2 weeks Celtic had linesmen try to rule out 2 goals that were yards onside, a handball equaliser against us was allowed to stand and 2 stonewall penalties weren’t given but, the world lost its mind when we were given a penalty for a clear handball above the head. 🥴😅
Osmand was fouled by Kent as a last man and a goal kick was awarded instead of a free kick and a red card. That literally happened today.
This narrative is a desperate clasp of straws from an embarrassing fan base who celebrated us being third to only finish third themselves 👍🏼
Congratulations Celtic on the most tainted title ever in this century.
Funny saying this despite the Covid title and a Cup being won after the final was rescheduled for after their opponents was relegated and half the team was sold off, all happening in the last few years.
Strange coincidence that in all 3 instances, it was one club benefitting.
Well tried Hearts. But it was all too much at the end.
