We laid flowers and paid respects at the grave of Corporal John Harrison, of the Parachute Regiment and SFSG, who was killed on an operation to rescue a journalist from The New York Times, from Taliban captivity in Kunduz Province,Afghanistan, on 9th September, 2009, aged 29 🏴🇬🇧
We stayed a little back. A little off the frontlines.
My 24-year-old lieutenant was killed.
Our female medic lost her leg.
Another buddy lost his eye.
My corporal was seriously wounded in his leg.
Our engineer lost his hearing.
My sergeant lost hearing in one ear and suffered multiple shrapnel wounds.
I myself was seriously wounded in my leg.
In the end, we lost five men during our mission that only lasted 4,5 months.
Fortunately, we stayed a little back. A little off the frontlines.
Can you imagine what would have happened if we had actually been on the frontlines.
I took this photo of my squad in April 2015, not long after we liberated the Arab town of Til Birak from ISIS. We were opposite the Christian village of Til Nasri.
I circled in red my friends that later died fighting ISIS, and in blue, those that were badly injured.
The third from the left, back row, is an American. Levi Shirley was KIA in Manbij in 2016.
The Kurds and their American allies spent blood to defeat ISIS. Why is @realDonaldTrump abandoning them now? 🇺🇸
Here’s my message to @WesStreeting: The era of politicians ignoring health experts is over. Put your big boy pants on and go meet with the BMA and RCN and end the staff haemorrhage crisis once and for all.

July 1987 Moscow USSR. Trump is 41 years old, he flies to Moscow at the invitation of the USSR Ambassador to the USA Dubinin
Returning from Moscow, the bankrupt @realDonaldTrump suddenly receives loans from 16 banks and without bargaining buys "The Plaza Hotel" for $407.5 million - a record price for a hotel........
Well that is quite some slap in the face for all those who British Soldiers who fought alongside their close Allies when they were needed… he really is a very nasty piece of work isn’t he?
Trump, Vance & others either have forgotten or never knew that Zelensky signed a ceasefire agreement with Putin in 2019. Three years later, Putin launched his full-scale invasion. So, signing another ceasefire with no security guarantees feels like suicide for Ukrainians.
