Vegan food has come a long way in just ten years and it’s honestly amazing.

As it stands, Beyond appears to be a veganized McSushi joint which by itself is not a bad thing, but would in my opinion be even better if there was more thoughtfulness applied to the menu.

[Chill Vegan @thechillvegan]

#Vegan sushi from Beyond Sushi NYC. Flavor is good but lacks vibrancy or textural variance. Dumplings were lovely. Drinks are fantastic. Mushy, overloaded, oversauced rolls seems to be standard for American sushi? Menu has no simple offerings. Leaning towards a nope for Beyond 😢

[Chill Vegan @thechillvegan]

Simplistic vegan new style sushi could be extremely intriguing and beautifully done in my opinion but for Beyond the opportunity is missed it seems.

4. Add seasonings and flax. Pulse to combine.
5. Taste and adjust seasonings/liquids. Process until uniform and shiny.
6. Dump half a cup on remaining salad and eat right out of giant serving bowl. Save rest of dressing for vegan nuggets or further saladry.
