A $60 class needs to sell itself before anyone pays. (inb4 "$60 for 46 min??" - not my monkeys, not my circus.) That's the job of the "Preview" along with price. Description can't prove coaching style. A 10-sec clip can. Is something doing that job in your product beyond price?
A gym class hands you information for free: the wall clock, the trainer's count, the pace of the room. Take the room away and someone has to rebuild all of it, on purpose. That's what the fixed overlay on a live workout stream is doing. Not decoration. The room, rebuilt in a UI.
Sketched a workflow builder for an email automation tool. Two fixes: node stats visible without clicking in (opens, clicks, bounce), and conditionals shown as real forks on the canvas instead of hidden in a settings panel. Not new ideas, just rarely trusted to coexist.
Nerdy detail: consistency whether you're looking at 1 doc or a folder of 34. Two icons, connected accounts + associated holdings, mean the same thing at every zoom level. Money moves across institutions here, so that answer shouldn't change depending on how deep you click.
Spent way too long on a "class starting soon" screen. Easy version: pop a reminder, let people dismiss it. But then the trainer's stuck waiting on 24 people fumbling for their QR code. So the button doesn't dismiss it, it opens the scanner. Staging beats reminding.
@KarimeShrimp@mrblackstudio This rules! Where did these amazing lil sound effects come from? I think the next big thing is skeumorphic audio with interactions lol
Scrolling through Twitter this morning feels awful. I'm gutted to hear not just that so many folks were let go, but just how unceremoniously it's being done. Yuck.
All I gotta say is there better not be a SINGLE blacked out game at this cost and at this level of fuckery/annoyance. Y’all can’t be holding sports hostage like that. Feels a little class actiony, you know?
Just love that the one and only way I can legally watch hockey in Canada is a) the most expensive subscription I own and b) in my FIRST DAY of using it the least usable digital product I’m currently paying for by a long shot. Looking at you @Sportsnet and @RogersMediaPR
We gotta talk about this one, @Sportsnet - why was this password okay to sign up but then not okay to verify on my Apple TV? (Even though it fit the validation requirements like ?????????)
