Today I am beginning to re-listen/re-read what I think is one of the most important social, cultural, and political books of our era.
I’m really not sure one can have informed discourse on our contemporary society, excluding strictly theological truth, without understanding the PWC, i.e. the post war census. I’m not saying this is the only book, only that it’s been incredibly helpful to me in understanding these issues.
“IF” you believe that a regenerate Christian can vote Democrat, and that such a vote is not a church discipline-able offense, then congratulations, you’ve confessed that evangelism and converting souls won’t fix the political problem, because genuinely converted people can still vote Democrat without sinning, or church discipline.
If you want a more Christian nation, you actually need more Christians.
"But muh laws!"
...Won't get passed or enforced unless you have more Christians. This should not be even remotely controversial among Christians. Preach. The. Gospel—for Christ and His kingdom.

The American experiment worked. Yesterday proved that.
The Founders established radical immigration limits,
heavily restricted voting rights, and limited government i.e. no welfare state.
In the last 106 years, we’ve rejected all three.
If just one of those three wasn’t a factor in yesterday‘s vote, we’d have a totally different outcome today.
The Founders knew what they were doing. We are the idiots who thought we knew better.
Matter of fact, the modern Democratic Party literally depends on all 3 for its existence. Remove one and the party ceases to exist.
Voting against Republicans because you didn’t like the price of gas or the war in Iran is like refusing to let the entire fire department onto your property, while arsonist set your property ablaze, because the fire chief slapped you across the face in a recent argument.
And yet there are distinct nations in the eternal state…
And the city has no need of the sun orof the moon to shine on it, for the gloryof God has illumined it, and its lamp isthe Lamb.
And the nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bringtheir glory into it.
And its gates will never be closed by day, for there will be no night there;
and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
- Revelation 21:23-26
As noted in John MacArthur’s Biblical Doctrine:
“No temple exists in the New Jerusalem. Both God and Jesus function as its temple (21:22). Since the glory of God illumines the city, no need exists for the light of the sun or moon to shine on it (21:23). The nations and kings of the earth will be drawn to the city because of its light and “will bring their glory into it” (21:24, 26). The presence of nations and world leaders shows that literal nations exist on the new earth and that activity takes place outside the New Jerusalem. While there is one people of God in regard to salvation, the presence of nations reveals ethnic and national diversity on the new earth. The best cultural contributions of these nations are brought to the New Jerusalem.”

It’s interesting that the eternal state won’t be one large conglomeration of redeemed-but-nationless peoples. Quite to the contrary, God maintains national distinctiveness, and civil government, apparently for the purposes of maintaining and maximizing the unique cultural contribution of each distinct nation.

The issue isn’t so much about bureaucratic incompetency, etc., it’s that the claims of ICE could easily be disproven if they are untrue. There is simply no instance in which an application is submitted, and an application number not received. So if they say he has no pending applications, that can be easily disproven if it’s not true.
@TomBuck Fair enough, though that is the common accusation.
So would your position be that one could hold these views and not be a racist or a white supremacist?
Could one hold and publicly advocate for these views, and be a member in good standing at your church?
Serious questions.
@TomBuck you realize that this is pretty much the exact position of every single elected official in the first few years of our country, from the POTUS, to the House, to the Senate? This is the view codified into law in the 1790 Naturalization Act. And again in 1795 when things were tightened up even further.
“Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That any alien, being a free white person, who shall have resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States for the term of two years, may be admitted to become a citizen thereof..."
There is zero dissension to this in the records… Not even amongst the clergy in government. Not in the papers or churches across the United States. This was THE view.
Would you be wiling to say that literally all the Founding Fathers and early American politicians and pretty much every citizen and even clergy were all white supremacists and Nazis?
I post this exchange with @dalepartridge because I think it illustrates the divide on immigration.
He supports legal immigration of whites to U.S. from other white nations but doesn't support legal immigration of Africans and Mexicans to U.S.
Is this the CN position?
It really wasn’t that long ago that you could pump your gas, and then go inside and pay for it.
Pre-pay wasn’t the result of a virtually cashless society (since we weren’t there yet), but rather of the loss of a “high-trust society.”
