@truedorktimes When producers don't have time to adequately explain what's happening in the game (you know, the reason we're all watching this show) because they spent 30 minutes showing every cast member hang out on the beach with their families, it's clear they've completely lost the plot.

@truedorktimes Foreign Survivor producers are schooling the Americans on how to integrate twists/advantages into the show.

Twists/advantages should last 1-2 episodes. Anything that lasts longer (other than HIIs) is hard for the audience to remember and difficult to control.

@stephenfishbach It is apt and I've thought this before. It's also a good argument for why all the ridiculous twists and advantages are unnecessary. You don't see MLB inventing twists to keep things fresh. The game is popular because the game is interesting on its own.
