A reminder: Every long range EV needs 3 things

1 - Fantastic route planning with real time accurate station status and the ability to set arrival SoC

2 - On-route battery preconditioning with logic to control temperature based on charging power / arrival SoC

3 - Plug & Charge

@itskyleconner For someone who goes to the mountain passes a bit having that arrival SOC estimate is really valuable esp. since it often takes care of the elev. changes in calculation. Anything that helps with driver confidence to erase range anxiety helps.

@itskyleconner E.g. MBUX doesn’t know about Electrify Canada and so it does not allow battery precondition yet. The difference in charging time for EA and EC (same charger) can be in order of 10s of minutes because you now have to factor in the warmup time.

@ElectrifyAm Sent a DM. I think EA should really think about how to make their chargers more reliable on top of building it out. There is really no way EV can become popular if people can’t rely on it when they travel.

@ElectrifyAm when 2/3 HPC chargers are out of commission and 10% left, with another already in-use. That happens with multiple locations too (Bellevue). With that level of availability how can I recommend EV to friends?! Called and no ETA on fixing. #fail #ev

@stewtong @Audi @AudiOfficial @ElectrifyAm Oh that’s also on my list of grievance. Once the @ElectrifyAm free charging ran out on my Etron they ask me to sign up for a plan in the app but all it does is takes me to the Audi generic website. I already have a plan with EA tho… 🙄
