IT'S FINALLY HERE! ๐.NET 8 is now available as a managed runtime on AWS Lambda
With improvements all round inside .NET itself, and more support for native AOT, it's a perfect time to be a serverless .NET developer.

AWS Lambda now supports .NET 8 both as a managed runtime and container base image. You can benefit from improved performance, NativeAOT support, and API enhancements. Read about it in this post by @Beau_Gosse_dev and @parasjain01.

Congrats to the .NET team on the successful launch of #dotnet8.
We are busy spreading .NET 8 around at AWS. The most common question is for Lambda support. I can't give a date but you can monitor this GitHub issue. https://t.co/QSBwMbjzVM
Somehow I have come to love @SalesforceQuip. Not only because it is the chosen tool at work but because they are among the few lightweight text editors (another being @NotionHQ) who are not trying to be MS Word.
Cool stuff! Now this works too. As customers wait for a year to get full NativeAOT support on .NET8 - they could get started with real apps using NativeAOT on AWS Lambda.
Minimal API's on AWS Lambda with native AOT & .NET 7. Relative to the .NET 6 minimal API samples it is FAST ๐ฅ๐ฅ.
A lot of fun getting this working, including a contribution to the official AWS Lambda tooling.

Use native AOT apps on AWS Lambda using Lambda Tools on .NET CLI or using the AWS SAM CLI. Check out our most recent launch. https://t.co/khD7JCxlej
