🚨An 84-year-old man in Lancaster, Kentucky, is recovering from severe injuries following an encounter with local police at his own front door.

​Ronald Maples a hard-of-hearing, longtime church member
went to answer his door after hearing officers knocking.

According to his family, as he attempted to open the screen door, an officer yanked it open, causing him to lose his balance. Officers then forcefully took him to the ground.

​Maples left his porch with a fractured jaw, four broken vertebrae, shredded hands, and extensive facial bruising. Following the incident, authorities charged the 84-year-old with assault and resisting arrest.
