It‘s crazy to me how many people on here are like
„Nobody tries my product 😭“
Bro do you know what marketing is?
Have you told anyone who might be interested in your product about it?
@TheSpacerr Wanted to build a slot machine that gives you points per spin (10ct per spin). Most points gets you placed on top of a leaderboard.
Unfortunately that‘s just online gambling 🥲
@fredde_s34923 The tattoo doesn‘t wrap around the skin, it looks just like its painted over the camera feed.
If you want this to be awesome you can probably do some fancy maths and an AR integration with the camera
Way too many people on here focus on building SaaS tools to be picked up by big tech, marketing to everyone
You WILL fail, the others have better marketing.
Find a niche, preferably one you‘re already in. Target the little guy, make it small payments and go broad in that niche
@danellisona 20$ on claude subscription, but only for Claude design
Do the coding either with 20$ for codex or manually
10$ for the domain
10$ for a VPS that can host a dokploy instance
0$ for marketing on socials (probably tiktok)
Leaves 140$ for coffee on late nights
@solopribuilds When we get a new apprentice at work they are banned from using AI for as long as they don‘t understand the following things:
- general coding syntax
- reading and understanding error messages
- knowing where to start on either a clean slate or on an existing project
@mscode07 Thanks! I love teaching, used to teach vocational school a while back and am now a certified apprenticeship trainer, taking on apprentices and administering exams 🤓
@neo_subhamoy The day I truly understood Regex was celebrated.
Nowadays I play https://t.co/t3E5DjTIy7 recreationally because I grew so fond of using regex
@ardent__dev Ask yourself:
Are you happy with VS Code?
If so, stay. Use your favourite LLM as an extension or from the terminal, but stay in an environment that you are used to.
@ardent__dev I adopted a lot of things from them (e.g. vim motions for vscode, some keybinds from webstorm), but my main takeaway is
Stay with and master your tools and you won‘t need a new tool ever again
