My thoughts on the Marchment No Goal call:

Should have been a goal in my opinion. There was no contact inside the crease until Makar pushed Duchene into Georgiev. The call on the ice has been huge in the playoffs. Only 1 out of 6 goalie interference reviews got overturned. Had that been called a good goal on the ice it would have stood.

The NHL will need to have a major discussion regarding goaltender interference. Players are entitled to the white ice. Matt Duchene obeyed that and it was the bump from Makar to connected him into Georgiev. #TexasHockey

Very obvious what happened here. Duchene in perfect position, outside the paint, where he’s supposed to be. Makar pushes him into the goalie. Goalie senses this & does absolutely nothing to fight for his position. Refs too afraid to end the series on it. https://t.co/zgKZfpucYI

This is Duchene’s position split second before Makar push. Not in the crease. Goalie is outside the crease. Once he’s touched (due to Makar push) knows it’s a get out of jail free card, makes no effort to play goalie, & refs let him off.
