I hate the gym man. In a few weeks I can leg press 20kg more than when I started but I am still fighting for my life and biting my teeth just to shoulder press a measily 14kg. just... zero improvement.
I'm so insane about House lately it's actually becoming a problem... I'm even considering replacing the picture of a bottle of ibuprofen in my photo locket with a picture of Wilson
My covid tests were negative but I've been struck with incredible exhaustion and muscle soreness all week and now one of my earrings has started spontaneously bleeding.... can my body just Be Normal for like a month straight. fucks sake.
so discouraging to have that one muscle group that just refuses to improve at all week after week after week. just plateauing at square one. At least my other numbers still improve
I don't mind being sore after a workout but when every position hurts to lie in I don't sleep well, and then the constant brain fog really gets to me at work. It's tough to keep up motivation when your quality of life goes down so severely once you start working out
I started going to the gym regularly again and I really want to stick to it longer this time, but punching through those first few months where you just kinda feel bad and exhausted all the time every day is so difficult... I could use some tips if people have any
Sure I have to apply undereye cream now and my knee gets sore more easily but early 20's me was a broke anxious mess in constant pain, I'd never want to go back
I feel a bit bad whenever I see younger friends or coworkers dreading getting older. The year I turned 30 was the happiest and healthiest I've ever been and my life keeps getting better year by year. Your 20's are so overrated.
I always roll my eyes so hard when youtubers go "I suffered for you guys to bring you this video" and the suffering is like... watching a mid movie or tv show to make clickbait content out of lmao
@viastellarum gosh yeah, I understand. I've noticed that stress just completely tanks my ability to draw too... and then trying to force it just makes me lose confidence. I'm sure it'll come back once your situation improves π
I've been deeply art blocked for like a year now and I'm not going to lie it's really destroyed my morale... I'm glad I discovered other talents over the past years because I'm afraid I lost my spark entirelyπ
@viastellarum Ueeegh I hate that kind of unhelpful attitude. What field is it that you studied in? I feel like the world changed so much since I first went to uni myself, everything they said back then would be a golden ticket kinda collapsed...
the only cure for my condition is drawing The Character but I don't have the energy to finish anything proper so it's just documents full of This I'm afraid
@viastellarum I really hope you find something soon mang, I understand your frustration completely. The field I first graduated in ended up a bit of a letdown and I ended up doing something else by doing an extra course for 1 year myself, but I did get lucky
