Challenging myself to learn something new (ish) and run 40 sol up to 1000 in the trenches.
As of now, I have no material edge or insights, so we'll be learning along the way, and I'll share the wins and losses in the hope we can learn something together.
Drop a follow if you want to keep up with my journey π«‘
Day 6 coming to a close.
Positive SOL balance for the calendar week, that's the plus.
Key takeaways:
- Weekend felt dry and is where the entirety of my losses came. Was up bigly on the weekdays.
- Size matters, especially on new pairs.
- Buying the dip is for coping unless you have SUPER high conviction.
- Spotting the big runners / narratives is pretty simple, navigating the PvPs on new pairs can be a clusterfuck.
- Patience trumps all - can literally countless spend hours not taking a position, but playing in between has largely proven to be gambling (for me at this stage, at least)
0.54 BNB, 0.5 SOL. +4.5 SOL for the day.
Let's see what Monday brings π«‘
Rotating from the $gaytollah to $fabtollah because @AutismCapital tweets it was not the play.
Still one of my fave pages though, through wealth and poverty.

Saw the $TFW Leo meme <$30K, faded as thought it was larp.
Figured out it wasn't larp by 200K, still faded as trench volume has been pretty soft this weekend.
Note to self - buy small if it might not be larp, add on confirmation π€¦
Day 5 spent less time than I wanted to online.
Was pretty dry on volume and narratives so decided to spend some time experimenting - this time with small sizing (!!!).
Finished at circa breakeven, but learned a little more about how to trade community coins and their 20 vamps.
Still +4 SOL for the challenge. More hours being put in tomorrow π«‘
Day 5, let's go. Starting after a brutal yesterday, but clear lessons to be learned:
- Don't bag hold shitters
- Smaller sizing on new pairs
- Smaller sizing whenever trying new things.
π«‘
Alright well we did catch the $HeavyPulp Marc Andreesen tweet just before logging off for +2 SOL, so -24 SOL for the day and +4 SOL for the challenge. Not bagging holding this one, so inevitably it goes higher π
Day 4's performance = terrible (-26 SOL). +2 SOL overall.
Feel like my judgement got materially worse. I'll reflect on this and probably conclude 'trying new strategies with size' is a horrible idea.
Had a semi-acceptable entry on Kalanick's $atoms following the Elon tweet, but rather than cutting breakeven, decided to play the hero and bag hold to near 0. Horrible sizing as well π€‘.
Lost on both PvPs of the Marc Andreesen coin too.
Tomorrow is a new day, IRL stuff until the evening, but will mentally reset and bounce back.
Pretty mute end to day 3, finished -2 SOL, +27 SOL overall.
Learned a valuable lesson in the trenches though - you can't force a narrative because you're impatient / bored.
Seems obvious in hindsight...π€·ββοΈ
Tomorrow is a new day, and feeling optimistic with pace of learning π
