Someone qt’ed this and then blocked me saying that I’m jealous that I’m not invited to the function lmaooo I really rather watch paint dry than sit through a Southern Christian wedding for two religious 20 somethings who will be divorced in 5 years
Are y’all’s thoughts ever really loud during the moment right before you fall asleep like not in a way where it disrupts you it’s just like your brain just trying to let everything out before going to sleep? Does this make sense??
Like there’s still magic and gods and monsters but it feels as though Nolan purposely included the bare minimum and from what is on screen is as “grounded” as possible like all the characters feel agnostic about the gods even after interacting with them
Watched the odyssey it was good but I do feel like Nolan’s commitment to grounded reality hinders the film. It feels like he believes if he let the world be unequivocally magical that it would delegitimize his “dark film bro” movie, as if he was embarrassed by that aspect of it
