Many X accounts asked me questions about $can that I cannot answer. I don’t mean to be rude or ignorant. I try to limit my posts to factual, previously disclosed information, and there are a few reasons I do that. As a capital markets specialist who does this job for more than ten years, and a formal lawyer, I realize that a little explanation may be helpful to protect you, even it could be boring to many people.
There are at least two important rules that are set up by the US securities laws to protect you as an investor.
1. Rule of Not Sharing Material Non-Public Information: if someone shares material information on X before it’s disclosed through an approved channel (EDGAR / press release / IR site), that can be a Reg FD violation unless it’s fully public and broadly disseminated.
2. No Self-Promotion: As a company representative, during an ATM or any distribution period, we cannot condition the market by hyping our stock, touting “undervalued” status, or referencing near-term catalysts. Self-promotional posts (e.g., “we expect strong results,” “our stock is undervalued,” “big news coming soon”) can be construed as conditioning the market — a Reg M violation.
✅ Safe examples:
•“We’re proud to launch our new Avalon A16 Series.”
•“Canaan has regained compliance with Nasdaq listing standards.”
•“Our mission remains to bring Bitcoin and AI computing closer to everyday users.”
🚫 Risky examples during ATM or offering:
•“CAN is ready to run again.”
•“Our shares are deeply undervalued.”
•“Next quarter will be a game-changer.”
Last but not least, please, please, don’t buy a stock only because someone (especially someone on the social media that you haven’t met) suggests that you “should” buy a stock. Always be careful and do your own research. If you are not certain, please observe and wait. We don’t want to see anyone lose money.
Don’t risk money that you cannot afford to lose. The stock market is volatile, and many things - good or bad - can happen. Our industry and our stock are both very volatile, and of very high risk. I am happy to see people say “this company may have a lot of potential, but the risk profile does not suit me”. Many things happening in this industry and around our company may be very exciting, but trading the stock is not suitable for everyone.
$CAN is looking VERY good.
1. Weekly touched the red line.
2. Weekly is finding support at the bottom of the ichimoku cloud.
I don't know why everyone is selling at support.
