Yesterday Trade Envoy @AfzalKhanMCR hosted Minister Bolat as the UK and Türkiye committed to round 1 FTA negotiations by the end of July.

They discussed how the FTA will grow our trade relations and heard directly from businesses about their aspirations.

The 🇬🇧 and 🇵🇭 are building a greener, more sustainable future together.

At the 5th UK-Philippines Climate and Environment Dialogue, Ambassador @LaureBeaufils and @DENROfficial Secretary Toni Yulo Loyzaga led discussions on climate action and environmental protection.

In Istanbul the Trade Envoy met with the Turkish maritime industry as well as the UK Mission to Turkish Shipyards. He visited @cemreshipyard to see @CalMacFerries being built.

He also held discussions with @VodafoneTR and joined a Financial Services Roundtable with @KenanPoleo.

This week was @AfzalKhanMCR's first visit as the United Kingdom's Trade Envoy to Türkiye.

In Ankara he held bi-lateral meetings with @omerbolatTR and @mustuzcu on strengthening UK-Türkiye trade relations.

He also held meetings with @nurolmakinauk, @TMB_TCA and @YASEDorgtr.
