Grew up in Hawaii, studied EECS at Berkeley, and now I’m a full-time founder

I started my first startup in college and have been building ever since

Before that, I did a FAANG internship and built way too many personal projects

I spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about AI, robotics, and whatever new technology I’m currently obsessed with

Outside of work: huge NBA fan, strategy games, indie games, and being bad at new hobbies

The gap between AI Twitter and actual companies is huge

On here everything is about to be automated

Then you get on a call and realize parts of the business still run on pen and paper

I finally started using Obsidian as my second brain

Obsidian is one of those products that became way more useful because the world changed around it

It’s been around for 6 years, but having all your knowledge stored locally as markdown files suddenly makes a lot more sense when you’re using agents all day. It’s really easy to point Claude/Codex at your vault and have them work from the same notes you do

There’s also a lot of tooling being built to make agents work better with Obsidian. One of the coolest things I’ve been playing around with is using Obsidian as a shared memory/coordination layer for multiple agents

What are the best use cases you’ve found for yourself?

@vasuman It can feel like an RTS sometimes, where you're focused on managing a lot of different things

@SullyOmarr They became popular because they were very ahead in deep search and up to date internet searches, but they kept building random features that were dominated by OpenAI and Anthropic and have lost their advantage

Within a year, none of us will be able to tell real life from AI slop

It’s very cool seeing friends with no coding experience start vibe coding and actually building things for themselves

Before AI they probably would’ve written off half these ideas because they didn’t know how to code. Now they just try them

Seeing myself and the people around me level up because of AI is one of the most exciting things about it
