Maybe it was a hallucination. One was laying in a hospital bed or the battlefield suffering from injuries and the mind trying to calm down. Give closure. But did it matter? Hallucination or not it felt real. Is it felt real, then who's to say it isn't?
"I'll be doing that on my terms too, I- We have a choice.."
A choice to fight, to put his weapon down and walk away or fight for something he does believe in. That sounded like a distant dream to the boy right now but just knowing one day ahead he will.. It was a push for him.
"Yes, we..." hope sparking in child's eyes brought a lump to Raiden's throat. "You will be using your experience for the good."
Something in his mind changed β subtle, warm feeling, like hope that he gave to a child remained with him throughout all those years; without
Jack felt safe in the other's arms. A sense of safety he wouldn't feel until way later when he was free. But this feeling gave him a moment to truely breathe.
