I appreciate that Epic is trying to improve discovery, but what am I really supposed to extract data wise from my new release..."New #10" only giving 64 impressions? If the previous 50k was hard to reach with more maps and fewer players, why not just decrease it by 5-10k instead?

I was inspired by @GhostUEP's elimination feed he showed yesterday so wanted to make my own version.
This needs no editables at all (except NPCs) it's all handled in code - just need to have custom items enabled.

It makes sense. I think that if you want to bring the ecosystem up to the level of high-quality maps, it has to be complemented by amazing thumbnails. Now, however, can all creators afford those costs? Or, if your map isn't up to professional standards, you're basically out of the ecosystem?

🔥Weapon displays and item areas completely redone. Every section got reworked with better models, cleaner layouts, and stronger visual hierarchy so players can actually read what's in front of them.

Huge W to @thesquatingdog he killed that today. For those that missed it here's my high level notes of what I managed to write down:
• ALL of Discover is NOW personalised per-player, not just “For You” - So order of rows is different per player. E.g. Combat players see more combat maps at the top, tycoon players see more tycoons etc
• Epic says 2x more creators are now getting meaningful visibility/new players after the spam cleanup changes
• Discover now prioritises “great games” harder = retention, replayability, engagement & satisfaction
• New/Updated islands now rotate through genre rows over 2 weeks instead of guaranteed 50k tests
• Epic says EVERY non-spam island SHOULD still receive testing
• More genre/subgenre updates coming after removing loads of categories
• Thumbnail moderation is AI (ML) similarity based — they want reports on false flags to improve it
• Sponsored Row changes are actively being worked on (placement, fraud, abuse etc)
• Epic admitted communication around Discover changes wasn’t good enough & says they’ll be much more transparent going forward
• They’re shipping Discover changes DAILY behind the scenes
• More structure coming around Homebar + Epic Picks promotion
• Better creator analytics/docs are planned so devs can actually understand what metrics matter most
TLDR; Overall direction:
Less spam + more personalised recommendations + stronger focus on retention/quality signals.
