There are many Artists doing incredible things in this space everyday. We see art being used to support lifestyles, to evoke emotion, to insight thought and unfortunately to exploit. I feel it is our duty to highlight those with pure intent and an Art first outlook. 👇

@ikorma!!! My story of this legend in the making!

I was lucky enough to meet him early in my web3 journey and we became friends, exchanging gm's and supporting each other using social currency.

His work always had a light hearted feel to it and usually took a second glance to reveal the subject. All of the pieces were abstract, yet you can always tell it's an @ikorma piece. The color palette, usage of shapes and placement all work together to identify his work.

Then there is the actual artist(s)!! I had the pleasure of meeting the son, (ikorma is a father son duo!) in New York and his irl presence is just as energetic and inspiring as his work! Every second I spent around him was spent smiling, laughing or observing something artistic around us. I was able to witness him paint and see his work come to life in real time, and it was at that moment that I felt the deepest connection to his art.

It all made sense, the energy, the vision, the perspective, I saw it all for a quick fleeting moment and it changed the way I saw all of his work from then on. As an observer of art, we always place our personal life experience into the symbols and colors we see. There is however a magical thing that happens when the artists experience makes its way from the piece into your life. This is what happened to me, it is the reason I will forever be a fan and why I collected set of his recent drop, the Abstract Faces MA, NA, JO & OR. I hope that @ikorma is able to reach others and bring some joy into their lives as well!
