This is also a problem in special ed when admin has little to no experience. I found this true all the time as a self contained special ed teacher. It was always a great opportunity to help admin see that even though my lesson might look different it was still amazing.

Recently attended a training @azk12. Equity & grade level standards are the frame that holds up the curriculum/instruction ladder. Amazing training on how to be effective mentors/coaches for new teachers. Already applying some small things.

This. Right. Here. Science in special ed. This is a 2-3rd grade self contained Autism room. Their teacher has focused on supporting literacy through science. They are becoming amazing explorers & engaged learners.

September 1st is MLB’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Day.

Today will include outreach to local hospitals treating young patients in their communities along with all on-field personal wearing gold ribbon decals and wristbands in support of the fight to end childhood cancer. 💛
