There will be plenty of time to dissect the decisions taken throughout the course of the pandemic in the coming months, but after the longest lockdown in Europe and never really leaving it at all last year, I’m going to enjoy the moment. They’ve been few and far between.
In the future when someone asks me what it was like living in Ireland during the pandemic I’ll reply that one year it was deemed safe to open pubs for indoor services providing we made everyone buy chicken wings and then the next year deemed we couldn’t with millions vaccinated.
I've spent my life encouraging political action. Emotional venting is not political action. And late in this case is not better than never! https://t.co/QgVXjAQHZY
