They have enough money to pay all of us a living wage and instead they insult and underpay all of us, facilities and physicians alike. @MassGenBrigham should be HUMILIATED for their shameful behavior 🤬🤬 (3/3)

In a union bargaining session tonight @MassGenBrigham is still offering their residents and fellows a below inflation annual raise (2.25%) on our ALREADY pathetic salaries for one of the most expensive cities in the country AND THEN (1/3)
they had the audacity to tell us they won’t pay us more because housekeeping is only paid $50k and they have to live on that so we should have to live on our shitty pay too 🤬 (2/3)
Can we have a conversation about the lack of financial support for CT foster parents. The cost of food, utilities, movies, taxes have increased and our stipends have remained the same or decreased in many cases.
Changing Course • This past week was Match week for medical students across the country. It has been a difficult week for me. When I Matched to my #1 Neurology Residency Program at the University of Washington in 2021, I felt like my dreams were falling into place. 1/7
Hospitals cannot claim their “unisex” (men’s) scrubs are cut for “professionalism” (to hide women’s bodies) while also having the deepest v cut that exposes your entire chest when you lean forward 😡 #womeninmedicine
As a follow up: Chief Ronnell Higgins of @yale police released a statement that confirms this was distributed by the Yale police union, supposedly as part of their contract renewal scheme/campaign. Real mafia shit.

“of 173 first-year resident physicians with disabilities, 50.6% of those with reported need for accommodations did not request them. Fear of stigma or bias and lack of a clear institutional process were the most reported reasons for not requesting needed accommodations.”

Congratulations to @MGBUnited on organizing their union with @cirseiu. I call on @MassGenBrigham to hold a fair and transparent election that is free from intimidation.
2/2 They both came to the doctor w/ this child, are on the same page, both clearly love/support their kids and each other. Women really are out here building community and doing the most for their kids and each other 💙
1/2 Saw a really beautiful family structure/dynamic in peds clinic last week. 2 moms who each have a kid with the same dad, dad isn’t around, the 2 moms are raising their kids together. They are clearly incredible coparents.
