Rihanna sharing a quote that said “the moment you start hiding your emotions to avoid arguments, you begin losing the bond that once made you feel like home” and the shit is real asf.
I hope when you watch #ThePolygamist, you’ll watch beyond the drama …
Your greatest lesson should be to decenter marriage, husbands and men altogether.
You can have them; but they shouldn’t be your entire identity. ❤️🙏🏽
If you are struggling with procrastination or lack of discipline, study and read Proverbs 13:4, Colossians 3:23, and Galatians 6:9. Here’s a prayer to help you break the cycle:
Dear God,
Please help me stop putting off the things You have called me to do. Give me discipline, focus, and motivation in this season. Help me not to waste time in fear, excuses, or distractions.
Teach me to be diligent, consistent, and faithful with what You have placed in my hands.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from women before me,it is not to make life altering sacrifices for men. They do not deserve such loyalty and commitment
In the end, the girl who treats a man like a debit card always seems to come out on top. Meanwhile, the girl asking for nothing but attention, effort, and consistency end up in therapy trying to heal from it.
No girl is born dreaming of motherhood. That idea is taught. From dolls to toy strollers, girls are conditioned early for caregiving and reproduction, while boys aren't. We're taught this is our purpose, yet the risks of pregnancy and childbirth, even death, are rarely acknowledged. This isn't instinct. It's social conditioning.
After giving birth, a woman's internal wounds take six months to heal, 12 months for physical recovery, two years for hormonal balance, and up to five years to rediscover her identity. Relationships frequently fail during this time due to a lack of understanding. Be kind and patient with new mothers; they are facing more challenges than it appears.
@rolandgavince When I visit home, she'll always make sure I'm okay. I love her so much and I wish I can unload many things she goes through especially at school.
@rolandgavince This made me sad. It made me think of my younger sister(14), who lives back home with mom and cousins(15 and 20). Of all the kids, she's the most reliable and responsible one. When she's alone, she'll make sure the house is clean and food is cooked.
Pregnancy is HARD.
Labor is HARD.
Giving birth is HARD.
Maintaining a good relationship with your partner during postpartum is HARD.
Being a mother is HARD.
Trying to love yourself while adjusting to a new body and life while still tending to a newborn is HARD.
Mothers have it HARD and still make it look so EASY.
Don’t discredit yourself girl, it really is HARD.
You just hold it all together, I see you. 🥺😭❤️
