Exactly one year ago, I completed a fundraising campaign to cover my programme fees at Future London Academy. I needed £8,000 in 30 days. I had raised £26,500 myself. Huge shoutouts to @victorfatanmi @FourthCanvas and a community of people I will never forget came who through and closed the gap last minute.

That moment changed everything.

To every single person who donated from the largest contribution to the ones who gave what they could, please hear me when I say there was no small donation. Every one of them got me here.

To everyone who shared the video, left a comment, sent a DM of encouragement, reposted without being asked, you carried this as much as anyone who gave money.

I was selected for this programme, I sat in rooms with leaders from different countries and continents. I added the Nigerian and African perspective to conversations shaping the future of design leadership. I always knew there was more than being a local champion, but living it is something else entirely.

I’m graduating in a few days. Full circle.

Everything I’ve learned, I’m bringing home. This is what your belief became. Thank you.
