When the EU Treaties were signed, EU citizenship was a concept to facilitate French moving to Italy or Germans to Spain.

The only issue was when new members joined and there was some restrictions (7yr rule).

But now Eu countries are confetti passport producers for 3rd world.

In the last 2 days, we had a Pakistani with a German passport living here among us. And a South American with a Swedish passport (albeit visiting on hitjob) 1/n

@DanMulhall It’s my view non EU citizens who acquire an EU citizenship should only be allowed to reside in that country.

So an Indian who gets German passport can’t reside elsewhere. A Brit who gets Irish passport can’t reside elsewhere.
