Dear @KwikirizaNova
I have a real story to tell and I request you to offer ma an opportunity to share it to you.
Even if I may not be helped, but talking you will give me relief. I feel you're the right person I can speak to.
Thank you, sir.
I have received a complaint from Hon. Betty Namboze Bakireke, member of @Parliament_Ug for Mukono Municipality, together with a group of children’s rights advocates, regarding the concerning practice of creating content using children or minors without their consent.
This behavior must stop. I fully concur with the observations raised by the concerned leaders and stakeholders. I have also personally reviewed some video clips, including one involving “Chicken Chicken,” where a child is allegedly forced to kneel before being given food. This is a deeply troubling and unacceptable practice that must cease with immediate effect.
Mr. Chicken Chicken is hereby advised to caution his associates, including individuals such as aunt “Chuni” and others involved in similar activities, to refrain from harassing or exploiting minors. While instilling discipline in children is important, such actions must never be turned into content for public consumption on social media.
Using children for content creation against their will amounts to exploitation and is unacceptable.
This serves as a strong warning to all individuals engaging in such practices on platforms like TikTok stop immediately. Let us not exploit children and minors for views or personal gain. Our responsibility is to protect them, not expose them.
We must prioritize safeguarding children, including limiting unnecessary exposure on social media. In countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, there are established legal frameworks that regulate and restrict children’s participation and exposure online.
Those involved in such acts may be in violation of:
Child protection and safeguarding laws
Privacy and consent regulations
Child labor and exploitation laws
Cyber and online safety regulations
Let us all act responsibly and uphold the rights and dignity of our children.
Thank you for your attention.
