Iranian Regime Loyalists Are Operating Freely on U.S. Soil - Are We Monitoring Them?

The Idara-e-Jaferia Islamic Center in Burtonsville, Maryland, a Shia mosque tied to Iranian interests, is raising serious national security red flags.

Led by Sheikh Abdul Jalil Nawee, a cleric trained in Iran's radical seminary system, the center hosted Shab-e-Dari, a deeply controversial religious gathering that drew Shia Muslims from across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The purpose? To offer pursa (condolences) for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and a central martyr in Shia Islam

But this wasn’t a simple religious observance.

It was a mass gathering of regime sympathizers and ideological loyalists, many of whom engaged in self-flagellation, beating themselves in ritual mourning.

A practice shocking not just in its extremity, but in what it reveals about the nature of the center.

💥 Did our intelligence agencies even bother to monitor this?

This is not just about theology. It’s about Iranian theocratic infiltration under the guise of religious freedom.

The Idara-e-Jaferia center is reportedly funded by the Alavi Foundation, a known front for the Iranian regime that was once targeted by U.S. federal prosecutors for funneling money to Iran in violation of sanctions.

The foundation’s assets, including New York’s 650 Fifth Avenue skyscraper, were seized by the Department of Justice in 2017.

Under Sheikh Nawee, the mosque has morphed into a radical ideological outpost. His teachings have included explicit support for the execution of apostates, the imposition of Islamic theocracy, and anti-Western rhetoric—a direct import of Khomeinist ideology.

Even more concerning:

🔴 The mosque operates a school—educating children under this radical framework.

🔴 The center glorifies Iranian revolutionaries and Hezbollah-affiliated figures.

🔴 Its platform is used to advance the Iranian regime's global goals, not American values.

This is not a local community center. This is a recruitment hub—spreading the propaganda of a foreign adversary inside the United States.

⚠️ Why does this regime-linked center enjoy nonprofit protections and freedom from scrutiny.

Why are regime-trained clerics freely indoctrinating youth on U.S. soil?

Why is a suspected Iranian proxy operating tax-free, with no oversight?
