I'm on a DB train on my way to the @embedded_world, and whenever I'm in one of these I notice drop in cell signal levels. Then I noticed the faint hexagonal mesh inside the train windows. 🧵

Turns out it’s not decoration, but the pattern is actually a metallic mesh that helps with:
- Electromagnetic shielding to keep onboard systems stable
- Even window heating to prevent fogging and icing
