News: David Crowley disclosed his wife's employment at Community Advocates to the Milwaukee County Ethics Board in May 2021, records show.
Ericka Crowley is a longtime social services and poverty reduction advocate. Prior to that she worked at the Social Development Commission, which also has contracted with the county.
Community Advocates also has contracted with the county for years. Online records show at least since 2007.
Further, David Crowley has disclosed his wife's employment on every financial disclosure sent to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission from 2021 to 2025.
These are ill-informed and baseless Republican attacks that should leave people disgusted. What is it about Ericka Crowley compared to other highly influential spouses in the community? https://t.co/SVsV0sOhK6
“The reason I want you to vote for David Crowley is he gets stuff done. It’s really simple. He’s an administrator. He’s an executive, and he’s got a heart as big as they come.” -@Tony4WI
Today, I'm endorsing @DavidcCrowley to be Wisconsin’s next governor.
I'm urging Wisconsinites to join me in uniting and supporting David in the upcoming August 11 primary and the November election.
We’ve got a lot to do and only a short time to do it, folks. Let’s get to work!
Let’s be very clear: There is one Milwaukee County leader who has achieved real, meaningful progress in solving this issue, and that is @DavidCrowleyWI. Thanks to his leadership, Milwaukee County is on a sustainable path toward putting this situation behind us for good.
More than 20,000 Milwaukee County households have received FEMA assistance so far, totaling over $102 million in flood recovery aid, and counting!
If you were affected by the floods, there’s still time to apply. But don't wait! The FEMA Individual Assistance application deadline is November 12 — less than a month away!
There are 3 ways to apply:
💻 Online at https://t.co/xqrYiJ4zzG
☎️ By phone at 800-621-3362
📋 In person at a Disaster Recovery Center
🚨 Reminder: Submitting a damage report to 211 is NOT the same as applying for FEMA assistance. Even if you reported damage back in August, you still need to apply directly to FEMA to receive financial aid.
For a list of locations where you can meet with FEMA representatives in person, visit https://t.co/i835S4gcVN.
NEW: FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) teams are now deployed across Milwaukee County, providing additional in-person support for residents affected by the August flooding.
DSA teams help residents apply in-person for federal assistance, identify immediate needs, share application updates, and provide referrals to additional community resources.
A calendar of DSA locations and hours of operation is available and will be regularly updated at https://t.co/i835S4gcVN.
Despite the federal government shutdown, these this service and the two Milwaukee County Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) remain open and operational.
The fastest way to apply is online at https://t.co/xqrYiJ4zzG or by phone at 800-621-3362. The deadline to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance is November 12, 2025.

🚨 ATTENTION: You may have been hearing a lot about the $30 million dollars in aid that has been approved by FEMA. I want to clear up a few common questions and concerns:
☑️ FEMA is accepting applications from everyone in Milwaukee County whose uninsured home or property was damaged in the early August floods.
☑️ This money is NOT being distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
☑️ Individuals who are eligible to receive FEMA assistance, will receive it – even if the total amount for all individuals tops $30 million.
So don’t be discouraged. Complete the FEMA application at https://t.co/xqrYiJ57pe or by calling 800-621-3362.
Two Milwaukee County Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will open tomorrow, September 24, to assist individuals who have uninsured losses or emergency needs related to the August storms and flooding.
Milwaukee County DRCs will have representatives from county, state, and federal agencies ready to answer questions and provide support every step of the way, but I want to be clear: You do not need to visit a Disaster Recovery Center in order to receive FEMA assistance.
But for anyone who still has questions, needs a little extra help uploading documents and navigating the online application, or simply wants to speak to a FEMA representative face-to face…the Disaster Recovery Centers are here for you!
Applying for federal assistance can feel overwhelming, but no one has to navigate the process alone.
Together, we can ensure residents get the help they need and move our county closer to recovery.

Governor Tony Evers has served the people of Wisconsin with dignity, integrity, and compassion.
I want to thank @GovEvers, First Lady Kathy Evers, and their family and loved ones for their leadership, service, and dedication to the great State of Wisconsin.
My full statement ⤵️
"If he makes that decision then I'm going to be going home, continuing to talk with my wife and the rest of my family because I don't run by myself."
Milwaukee Co Exec David Crowley, a likely Democratic candidate for governor this morning just before Evers' announcement:
Thank you, @GovEvers, for your tireless dedication to the people of Wisconsin. Our state and our residents are so much better because of your compassionate leadership and willingness to fight on behalf of us all.
