@FangtasiaT @TheMeldrew Where abouts do you stay? In the UK it wasn't too bad getting the relevant supporting documentation. Neurologist was quite helpful and once it's established you can't drive, mobility it a bit more taken for granted.

@BrainAblaze For me it was a pretty straight forward case of contracting encephalitis at 37 and that was autoimmune

@ambersummerly @BrainAblaze I had to leave 5 jobs due to my condition. Although I do have epilepsy and it was tough, it was memory issues (from encephalitis) that really got to me at the end of it all. Contract work means that you even get into situations where you can't remember at times 🤪

@RoKKnRobin @BrainAblaze It's the main thing to deal with. I don't have a drivers license (it's automatically revoked in the UK).

Almost 15yrs later and i'm still trying to deal with it. It's mental that untill I write something like this I don't realise just how long it's been.

It was in tandem with Encephalitis and being a contractor wasnt the best either. Changing job all the time so wound up having trouble finding my desk at some points 🤬

Thankfully I have an amazing family!!

Respect? My daughter now feels (and quite right too) has to look after me when we're out and about.

-"Other recreations"
- Drinking
- Late night TV
- Too strenuous excercise

But, still eat too much sugar and drink too much caffine! Trial and error isn't the greatest strategy though!!

@BrainAblaze As you can tell, depends on your circumstances. Me for one though, couldn't get through a day seizure free without meds. Mrs goes mental if I forget them!!
