There was a time before Oslo.
Once upon a time, there were no guards at the entrances to malls and train stations. People weren’t afraid, and they didn’t build fences around kindergartens. There was a time when I got my car repaired in the heart of Gaza City.
There was such a time.
Then the left came to power in ‘92, and they told the terrorists my friends and I had expelled from Beirut to Tunis in the First Lebanon War, “Come – We’ll give you a state here.”
Where did they sign the agreement that brought us blood and fire and columns of smoke, suicide bombers, and weapons stashed everywhere? In the city of Oslo, the capital of Norway.
Then the right came to power in ‘96 — and instead of canceling those agreements, it kept them going.
And that’s why this whole horror we’ve been living with for 30 years is called, for short, “Oslo.”

Yesterday, I brought up a critical issue to @POTUS. We have got to break the back of the massive meatpacking monopoly and open things up so local ranchers can actually process and pack their own meat. Reports circulating in Israel claim Secretary of State Marco Rubio is considering removing Tom Barrack from his Syria/Iraq mission, with David Petraeus reportedly being discussed as a possible replacement.
The claim is not confirmed.
But the broader issue is very real: President Trump sets American foreign policy. His diplomats should be implementing it, not creating a competing policy on the ground.
Recent comments from Barrack on Israel, Syria, Turkey and even the Golan have raised legitimate questions about whether Washington’s diplomatic messaging is fully aligned with the President’s stated positions.
This is actually a very practical problem to solve:
One President. One foreign policy. Diplomats who execute it.
If the Petraeus report proves true, it could signal that Washington has recognized the misalignment.

In 2019, President Trump formally made it U.S. policy to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, signing a proclamation declaring the Golan “part of the State of Israel.”
Now Trump’s own envoy, Tom Barrack, says Israel remains in violation of UN resolutions over the Golan Heights.
That’s not merely criticism of Israel. It is extraordinarily difficult to square with the stated policy of the president Barrack represents.
So watch his answer and ask the obvious question:
Whose policy is Tom Barrack representing — Trump’s Washington or Erdoğan’s Ankara?

Today, the IDF published the results of its own investigations into several controversial incidents from the Gaza war, and in multiple cases, it openly acknowledged mistakes, failures, and grounds for further investigation.
The IDF says it has already completed reviews of roughly 150 exceptional wartime incidents. In the cases published today, some commanders were reprimanded or removed, and in other cases the military ordered criminal investigations to continue.
In other words: Israel just publicly said, in effect, “we have gotten things wrong, and we investigated ourselves.”
That matters. Because in the middle of a brutal war, self-scrutiny is not something you often see from the other side. Hamas has never published anything remotely comparable examining its own conduct.

I think I need to clarify a few things regarding a story that is making the rounds about Israeli strikes on a Syrian airport…
Israel struck the Syrian airbase at Abu al-Duhur yesterday because Syria was about to let Turkish troops deploy there, breaking the security status quo we had. We warned them repeatedly. We will not allow threats on our border. This wasn’t simply an assumption. We have concrete evidence and Turkey has been exposed for denying and trying to invert it. Turkey is also proven to be funding Hamas in Gaza and trying to aid them with rearming. This is quite a serious situation.
As for Syria, for those that do not know the actual history, we are still at war with Syria. No peace treaty was ever signed since 1948.
We took the Golan Heights because for years Syria used those heights to shell our civilian communities below. Enough was enough. They repeatedly used this higher ground and killed many civilians with their artillery strikes on the kibbutzim and communities below in the Galilee and Hula Valley.
Syria also attacked first every time. They invaded us in 1948. They opened fire on us from the Golan and shelled our towns in 1967. They launched the surprise attack on Yom Kippur, deliberately breaking a ceasefire, in 1973.
That’s the pattern. So all the Arab states condemning us for the strikes can literally kick rocks.
We will strike anyone that threatens our people and borders. After October 7, all bets are off. We aren’t warning anybody. We aren’t asking. We aren’t seeking approval. Any country that threatens or attacks us will be hit hard. We’re not Trump who threatens that all hell will break loose or all his many other threats then retreats on his threats when Qatar or Turkey or Pakistan tell him to. We won’t threaten. We’ve made it clear. And we will strike them with force.
There is a simple and straightforward solution to all these conflicts and wars:
STOP FREAKING ATTACKING US AND TRYING TO FREAKING MURDER ALL OF US, AND WE WILL NOT HAVE TO FUCK YOU UP. IT’S THAT SIMPLE.

Turkey has been attempting to install advanced Russian air defense systems at airbases throughout Syria, in preparation for the deployment of Turkish jets inside Syria.
Israel just bombed the Syrian runways at these airbases, and the storage facilities where the where the radar components from Turkey were being stored.
Tom Barrack condemned the Israeli strikes.
