Short answer - buried in the article - is testing. And also the fact that the film unions hired epidemiologists to create new safe work protocols for their industry to be able to return after the initial lockdown.

It’s just absurd to shut down live streams from venues though.

@nowtoronto Film took proper time off & invested big in order to create safety standards for their industry because they could afford to do so. But that infrastructure ought to be able to be remodeled for live-streaming (etc), that’s the story. Why can’t we take that info and apply it here?

@nowtoronto I agree with the premise that these venues ought to be able to stream if they are able to follow the safety protocols. But I don’t see how bashing the film industry for creating their own infrastructure is helpful.
